Mr. Johnson was educated in the public schools of Phenix City, Alabama, has a B.A. degree in History from Huntingdon College, Montgomery, Alabama (1969) and a juris doctor degree (cum laude) from the University of Georgia Law School (1974). He is a United States Army veteran. He is a member of the Georgia State Bar and its General Practice and Trial Section, Eminent Domain Law Section and Real Estate Law Section. He is an agent for First American Title Insurance Company.
Mr. Johnson has closed thousands of home sales and loans and equity transfers. He has assisted with many, many commercial real estate transactions.
Mr. Johnson has prepared hundreds of wills., living wills and powers of attorney.
Mr. Johnson has represented clients in connection with probating wills and other probate matters, including contested cases.
Mr. Johnson has represented clients in court in a broad variety of matters and including property matters such as highway condemnation cases and property tax assessment appeals. Mr. Johnson has participated in many successful mediations.
Mr. Johnson has advised and represented clients in divorce cases, contested and uncontested. Also contested and uncontested custody matters and collecting past-due child-support.
Mr. Johnson is a member of Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church, Airplane Owners and Pilots Association, the Experimental Aircraft Association, the National Rifle Association, the University of Georgia National Alumni Association, The Huntingdon College Alumni Association, the Fort Benning Rifle and Pistol Club, Alabama Historical Association, Georgia Historical Society, Florida Historical Society, AARP, and the B.P.O.E.. He and Ms. Johnson often sponsor foreign military students at WHINSEC at Fort Benning.
